They will assure you he is the smartest dog they have ever had.
We have hunted geese near Bay City, dove near Austin, pheasant
and quail in Kansas and dove and ducks in the East Texas area. Euri has a very calm nature until we bring a gun out or have
something for him to retrieve in our hand. On one occasion
my son shot a deer on our place near Madisonville and we were
unable to locate the deer. We took Euri into the woods
where we lost the trail, instantly he found the trail and led us
about a half mile to the deer. The hunting ability and
versatility of the Toller continues to amaze us. We have
participated in several hunt test, both AKC and UKC. We
will be running AKC Senior level and HRC Seasoned this spring.
Kenna is our second Toller. She has a different
personality as we might expect. She strives to please.
In initial training and through force fetch training, she was
the text book example. Show her, reinforce and she
performs. She has more of an adiction to bumpers and
tennis balls than Euri, yet returning with birds is a blast for
her also. She also went pheasant hunting in Kansas.
Flushing her first pheasant was a real joy for her. We will be
running Junior AKC in 2007. Look for her to shine in the
conformation ring this year.
